Registered Nurse (RN) Open Heart
Job Description
Currently recruiting a Registered Nurse (RN) Open Heart to work in Miami, Florida in a 417-bed, full-service, acute hospital providing 24-hour comprehensive care in the community including trauma, burn, surgical, women s and children s services, behavioral health, and diagnostic services, along with two full-service free-standing ER facilities. The hospital has received the Distinguished Hospital Award for Overall Clinical Excellence from HealthGrades. This national recognition places us in the top 5% of hospitals in the nation for overall clinical quality. We are a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center certified by the Florida Department of Health and verified as a Level I Adult Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons. The facility is certified as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center by the Joint Commission, and we are one out of only five American Burn Association verified Burn Centers in the state. With six ACGME accredited Graduate Medical Education programs the hospital strives to be a leading community-based research hospital.

Job Responsibilities of the Open Heart RN:
- Provides care in the Perioperative setting directed toward meeting both the psychosocial and physical needs of the patient.
- Open Heart RN is a resource person and teacher.
- Care given reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations.
- Utilizes initiative and strives to maintain steady level of productivity.
- Open Heart RN is a self-starter.
- Is compatible and supportive, and a team player.
- Communicates on behalf of the patient reflects the mission, ethics, and goals of the hospital, as well as the focus statement of the department Responsible for direction of patient care in the perioperative setting.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
- Current ACLS Certification.
- Current BLS Certification.
- 2 years of experience in Perioperative setting.
- 1 year of Open Heart experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Must have recent acute care experience.
- Salary Range: $31.98 - $47.96 based on experience. (20 years for max).
- Sign on Bonus: $20K.
- Relocation: Case by case.
- Matching 401(k) contributions ranging from 3-9%.
- PTO starting at 4 weeks per year.
